Abstract

Introductory Statistics is often the only statistics class my students take. I want my students to walk away from my class able to actually analyze real data and not need me to do it. To achieve that involves having the students collect real data and wrestle with data in all its beauty and complexity. My students conduct reproducible data analysis and deliver posters communicating the results of that analysis to a non-technical audience.

In this workshop, I will model the process I use to achieve this with workshop participants as learners.
