USCOTS '19 Exhibition & Sponsorship Information

Thank you so much for your participation in the eighth U.S. Conference On Teaching Statistics hosted by the Consortium for the Advancement of Undergraduate Statistics Education (CAUSE). As you know, the first seven USCOTS in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017 were each huge successes with approximately 400-500 participants enjoying stimulating plenary sessions, lively breakout sessions and poster presentations, computer software test drives, technology demos, and on and on.

The eighth biennial USCOTS will take place May 16 - 18, 2019 at the Penn Stater Conference Center and Hotel in State College, Pennsylvania and promises to be even more exciting with its theme "Evaluating Evidence". We expect approximately 500 participants and are grateful that you will be joining us as an exhibitor. A list of opportunities for exhibitors is provided below. I want to call your attention to the opportunity to be an USCOTS premier sponsor (those committing to a minimum $4000 in sponsorship or other donations). Premier sponsors receive unlimited registrations for employees, free banner placement in the conference center lobby or ballroom, and special recognition in the USCOTS program booklet. Secondly, I want to point out that each registrant will receive a conference padfolio. Including a flyer or brochure stuffed in the backpack is a great way to reach the participants with your materials. Finally, we hope you might consider sponsoring a registration grant for a needy instructor - we really want to keep USCOTS accessible to everyone.

Note that table charges include up to two "exhibitor registrations" (unlimited for premier sponsors). Exhibitor registrations include regular company employees, but not guests, and does not include the banquet dinner although individual tickets are available for that.

Note that we are also asking for donations of door prizes that might be given out at various times during the conference.

Also owing to past feedback, we will again be accepting credit card payments for exhibitor sponsorships, although there will be a slight processing fee to cover our charges for that service. You will need to confirm your total charges with me before submitting credit card information on-line.

Exhibitor opportunities

Note: A list of company representatives attending USCOTS must be supplied by May 1, 2019

  1. Exhibit Tables (Each table 6 feet with maximum two tables per exhibitor)
    • $500 for one table. Second table is an additional $300
  2. Technology Hands-On Test-Drives in well-wired room (30 minute time slots @ $1000)
    • small classroom style lab (about 50 seats with participant laptops and presenter projection)
  3. Technology Demos in larger rooms (for one hour before banquet on Friday)
    • 60-100 seat capacity with presenter projection system ($1200)
  4. Half-Day Workshops
    • Thursday afternoon before USCOTS opening session ($2000 plus cost of required AV)

    • Sponsor individual registration grants for needy participants ($160 per person - can be directed at target population such as "High School AP Statistics instructor attending USCOTS for the first time").
