"Engaging Students in Statistical Concept Discovery for Deeper Learning"

Through discovery and visualization of results, otherwise abstract statistical concepts can be made tangible, and their consequences immediately visible, thereby leading to deeper learning and understanding. In this session, statistical software (JMP 11 from SAS) will be used to demonstrate how statistical concepts can be discovered by students with guided exercises. The software used in this session can be downloaded free for 30-days from www.jmp.com, and we encourage you to participate in some example guided exercises during this session.
