Regional Conference - Villanova University

Abstract:

On even years, when the US Conference on Teaching Statistics is not held, we still need our fix! The electronic Conference on Teaching Statistics is held every even year. This year, Villanova University will be hosting a regional conference.

The main regional event will take place on Monday, May 21st. We will meet together at Villanova University in the afternoon from 1 – 6:30 to watch the eCOTS sessions. Dinner will be provided in the evening, followed by a talk by Michael Posner entitled “Incorporating Data Science with a Fixed Curriculum.” The talk will provide a chance to share and ideas on how to restructure or focus on elements of your introductory course (including two year college and high school courses) when you don’t have flexibility in your curriculum.

If there is a critical mass of folks who want to get together for the rest of the week, we will arrange for a classroom to be available.
