Intro stat is currently the class "for all" in that it reaches by far the most students. This breakout session will discuss how the current intro stat course can and should adapt in the presence of data science. Which "data science topics" should be added or emphasized? Which "statistics topics" might we consider removing, and which remain important even in this era of data science? I will provide some thought on these questions, but also provide opportunity for audience input and gathering of the collective wisdom of eCOTS participants.
