Abstract

Panel Discussion: Working in Harmony

I am the current online Composer in Residence at Fermilab, America's particle physics and accelerator laboratory. My online residency has focussed on neutrino physics, the music of Liquid Argon Time Projection Chambers and the new DUNE experiment and cross sections measurements. This talk would explore my online collaborations with physicists, and the pieces that have emerged as part of my residency and carry on from my last talk exploring relationships between music and particle physics, how particle physics interactions become the composers of the music along with the music that emerges as well as specific pieces that have merged as part of this residency. I'd share some music that has emerged from this residency. My proposal includes conversations with collaborating physicists as part of the talk.
