Registration
Registration for USCOTS 2025 is now open! Pre-conference workshops begin at 1:00pm on Tuesday, July 15th, the conference begins with dinner (included with registration) at 6:00pm on Thursday, July 17th, and the conference ends at 4:30pm on Saturday, July 19th.
The registration rates are:
- Early bird (by May 1st): $255
- Regular registration: $290
Included with your conference registration are dinners on Thursday and Friday, lunches on Friday and Saturday, and lots of snacks. You will also have access to all pre-conference events, including workshops, the Liberal Arts Statistics Symposium, and the Research Satellite.
CAUSE strives to make USCOTS as affordable as possible. Those for whom the registration fee is a burden may apply for a registration grant/waiver. Two-year college instructors, high school teachers, and students (undergraduate and graduate) are especially encouraged to apply.

Airport Shuttle Request
Shuttles between the Des Moines (DSM) airport and Ames, IA are available for a round-trip $30 fee ($15 for one-way). Please note that other transportation options, such as Uber and Lyft, are not reliable options to and from Ames, IA and that the Ames hotels do not have their own airport shuttles. The following times from Ames to the Des Moines Airport are approximate (+/- 30 minutes) as the shuttle will need to stop at multiple locations before heading to the airport.
Shuttle Times from DSM Airport to Ames:
- Monday, July 14th: 8pm, 11pm
- Tuesday, July 15th: 11am, 2pm, 5pm, 8pm, 11pm
- Wednesday, July 16th: 11am, 2pm, 5pm, 8pm, 11pm
- Thursday, July 17th: 11am, 2pm, 5pm, 8pm, 11pm
Shuttle Times from Ames to DSM Airport:
- Saturday, July 19th: 6am, 11am, 4pm
- Sunday, July 20th: 3am, 6am
Iowa State Dorm Request
Iowa State has reserved a block of dorm rooms in Eaton Hall and a block of hotel rooms at the Courtyard Marriott, Comfort Inn (Choice Hotels), and the Hampton Inn (Hilton).
Eaton Hall is about an 8 minute walk from Memorial Union, the main location of the conference, and includes 1-person and 2-person rooms. Registrants who select a 2-person room can report their roommate choice or be randomly assigned a roommate. Each room has its own sink and shares a shower and toilet with one adjoining room. Beds in the rooms are not lofted and rooms include air conditioning, linens, and free internet. There are wheelchair accessible rooms available.
