This discussion provides a forum for faculty to share their experiences, and ideas for increasing engagement and learning in an introductory statistics course. This course is typically taken by students from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds. Some areas of focus for the discussion are:

  1. Topics that are important and topics that maybe optional depending on students’ abilities and the time available to cover them
  2. Ways of engaging students for enhancing learning and achievement, including effective use of software and
  3. Methods of assessment that promote student learning and success in this course.
