Introductory statistics/data science courses at my institution often enroll from 100-350 students, creating a vibrant but diverse learning environment. Students come with widely varying backgrounds, some excel in math, others struggle with academic English, and many needs different levels of data analytical skills relevant to their major. Meeting the needs of such diverse group is quite challenging. We have experimented with several approaches, such as semi-flipped classroom, group projects etc, but I'm eager to learn more. Let's collaborate and brainstorm ways to better support our students success and engagement in these large courses.
