Many students feel out of place or alienated in introductory statistics. Some experience statistical anxiety, much like mathematics anxiety. Often students are disconnected from one another in such courses. So, how do we set up our classes to make sure that everyone feels a sense of belonging? The aim of this chat will focus on strategy sharing for how to build community, nurture dialogue between students, and foster a sense of belonging.
