Abstract

Many statistics educators are incorporating justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) into their teaching models to engage students, connect statistics to society, and promote the ethical use of statistics. The JEDI-CAUSE website is a collection of JEDI resources for educators, including datasets, activities, pedagogical guidance, and more. This breakout session will introduce you to the website, help you incorporate JEDI into your teaching, and help us grow this resource effectively for statistics educators. Through discussions, we will learn from each other how we are already implementing JEDI in our teaching, trade resources and ideas, and strengthen the existing community resources on this topic.  Whether you already incorporate social justice and community-based research into your classrooms or you want to learn more about it, we will value your participation in this discussion and activity.  No prior knowledge is required.
