• ### Computer Animated Statistics

This site offers a collection of applets in which standard topics of statistics and probability are presented in a novel and visual way using computer animated images. Topics include dependence, independence, conditional probabilities, expectation and variance, normal, exponential, Poisson distributions, law of large numbers and the central limit theorem, hypothesis testing maximum likelihood estimation, sampling, chi-square tests, and the construction of confidence intervals.

A series of pamphlets place online by the American Statistical Association, Survey Research Methods Section. Each pamphlet deals with a different aspect of survey research and how it is done.

This site focuses on using the LRT to compare two competing models.
• ### Log-likelihood ratio

This site offers an involved definition of the likelihood ratio test with examples and formulas.
• ### The Beta Distribution

This applet allows the user to adjust a (1st shape) and b (2nd shape) parmaters of the Beta distribution with a slider or manual input. The applet allows the user to fix the x and or y axes. The user immediately sees how this affects the the shape of the graph as well as the variance and the expected value.
