Chance News is a newsletter that deals with current issues in the news that use probability or statistical concepts. From September 1992 to January 2005 this newsletter was carried out in the traditional form of having an editor and a small number of  writers.  As of Åpril 2005 we are going to continue Chance News in the format of a Wikimedia project.  This means that it will be a collaborative effort of  its readers.  The  Wikimedia software makes it easy for anyone to contribute a item direction to Chance News.  It also them to make changes to existing chance news items (hopefully improvements).  The Wikmedia Foundation has used this to develop a number of projects including a free Encyclopidia, newsaper, and a series of books.  All these are made available under the GNU free public license/
