Please help us better understand why by completing a survey about your motivation to use
group work when teaching statistics. Please also forward this email on to others who use
group work to teach statistics!
As part of my IRB-approved dissertation research study at Montana State University, we are
recruiting faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students who are instructors of
statistics courses and/or statistics recitation sections to fill out our survey. This
research aims to develop an instrument that measures different types of motivations to use
group work when teaching statistics. This instrument will allow us to better understand
why instructors are using group work and may help us learn how to better support others in
doing so. We hope you will participate in the data collection process.
The survey takes approximately 7 minutes to complete.
To participate, please click the following link to the survey:

A total of 41 Amazon gift cards will be distributed to participants. The first person to
complete the survey will receive a $10 Amazon gift card. After that, every 10th person to
complete the survey up until the 400th will receive a $10 Amazon gift card.
All survey responses will remain anonymous and will not be linked to identifying
information.
We sincerely appreciate your time and willingness to participate and complete the survey.
