http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=852[For advanced users only] Statist is a small and portable statistics program written in C. It is terminal-based, but can utilize GNUplot for plotting purposes. It is simple to use and can be run in scripts. Big datasets are handled reasonably well on small machines. In spite of its low overhead, statist can do quite a bunch of regression functions and tests in a comprehensible way. It is quite powerful. Tue, 9 Aug 2005 02:15:38 -0400Central Limit Theorem
http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=921
http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=921The program CenLimit shows the effects of the central limit theorem. The user may select from various distributions to draw different numbers of observations for calculating the means. The distribution of the means is plotted. You may use this program to find out the relationship between the number of observations and the resulting standard deviation of the means. Tue, 9 Aug 2005 01:06:25 -0400Distribution Calculator Lines

The purpose of this program is to show the concept of critical values and the replacement of printed distribution tables. The Distribution Calculator offers calculations for the normal distribution, the t distribution, the chi-square distribution, and the F distribution. http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=924
http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=924This program has been written to explore the relationship between the data points and the error surface of the regression problem. On one hand you can learn how to represent a line in two different spaces ({x,y} and {k,d}), and on the other hand you see that solving the regression problem is nothing else than finding the minimum in the error surface.Tue, 9 Aug 2005 12:14:07 -0400DAP - Statistics and Graphics Package
http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=863
http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=863Dap is a small statistics and graphics package based on C. Version 3.0 of Dap can read SBS programs. The user wishing to perform basic statistical analyses is now freed from learning and using C syntax for straightforward tasks, while retaining access to the C-style graphics and statistics features provided by the original implementation. Dap provides core methods of data management, analysis, and graphics that are commonly used in statistical consulting practice (univariate statistics, correlations and regression, ANOVA, categorical data analysis, logistic regression, and nonparametric analyses).Mon, 16 May 2005 10:43:42 -0400Sampling SIM: Sampling Distributions

http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=923
http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=923This program visualizes the effects of outliers to regression lines. The user may pick up a point with the mouse and move it across the chart. The resulting regression line is automatically adjusted after each movement, showing the effect in an immediate and impressive way. The program Leverage allows one to experiment with the leverage effect. You can create a random sample of data noisy points on a line. Dragging one of the points away from the regression line immediately shows the effect, as the regression line is recalculated and moves according to the current data set.Thu, 12 May 2005 04:05:01 -0400STATISTICS FOR MOLECULAR BIOLOGY AND BIOINFORMATICS
