http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=1094Table of instructions for TI, Casio, HP, Sharp, and some common other brands of calculators. Instructions are given for how to enter data (both one and two variable), how to compute mean, standard deviation (both population and sample), correlation, linear regression coefficients, combinations, permutations, and (importantly) how to turn the calculator on and off.Sun, 24 Feb 2013 10:30:11 -0500Bootstrapping Applet
http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=2338
http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=2338The WISE Bootstrapping Applet can be used to demonstrate bootstrapping by creating a confidence interval for a population mean or median. The user can manipulate the population distribution, sample size, and number of resamples. An associated guide gives suggestions for teaching bootstrapping.Sun, 3 Feb 2013 09:56:23 -0500Confidence Interval Game

http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=2334StatKey is the analysis package to accompany the textbook "Statistics: Unlocking the Power of Data." StatKey includes interactive applets to describe and graph data, engage in bootstrapping and randomization tests, and explore sampling distributions and theoretical distributions.Sat, 4 Aug 2012 06:09:13 -0400**Least Squares Demo
http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=2332
http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=2332This simulation illustrates least squares regression and how the least squares solution minimizes the sum of the squared residuals. The applet demonstrates, in a visual manner, various concepts related to least squares regression. These include residuals, sum of squares, the mean line, how the line of best fit is determined, and how the line of least squares solution minimizes the sum of the squared residuals.Mon, 2 Apr 2012 02:25:37 -0400**Java Demos for Probability and Statistics

http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=2327
http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=2327Researchers and students alike often mistake any overlap among 95% confidence intervals to denote a statistically non-significant p value. However, confidence intervals can overlap and still correspond to a statistically significant p value for an independent sample t test. The confidence interval (CI) applet will help learners understand the relationship between confidence interval overlap and statistical significance.Sun, 1 Apr 2012 10:08:50 -0400Statistics: A Job for Professionals

http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=2239
http://www.causeweb.org/cwis/index.php?P=FullRecord&ResourceId=2239This applet builds confidence intervals for the percentage of orange candies in box with two colors of candies. A smaller box visualizes the sample, and a graph keeps track of the location of the confidence interval. Students can take one sample (producing one CI) repeatedly, or take 100 random samples at once. The population percentage is hidden from view unless the student asks to see it, in which case it is displayed on the graph of confidence intervals. This allows the students to see whether each interval "hits" or "misses". Several parameters can be varied: sample size, confidence level and number of samples. A set of questions alongside the applet guides students.Sun, 5 Dec 2010 02:50:54 -0500Mathematica Overiews

In its About Us section Many Eyes proclaims that it "is a bet on the power of human visual intelligence to find patterns. Our goal is to "democratize" visualization and to enable a new social kind of data analysis. Jump right to our visualizations now, take a tour, or read on for a leisurely explanation of the project. " While its use is free Many Eyes does require "an alphaWorks Services Use Agreement" that spells our terms of use, copy right, liability, etc. Users must agree to terms and conditions.Wed, 16 Jun 2010 01:23:12 -0400
